Terms of Sale




 
Please read the terms in full before deciding to purchase from Sticky Feet Reptiles. 
Terms are subject to change without notice.

Deposits/Holds/Payment:

Payment is accepted via PayPal.  All orders must be paid for in full before shipment of animal.  
If at all possible, temperatures at hubs along the shipping route will also be considered before shipping is arranged.  
If necessary, heating/cooling packs will be included at our discretion.

 

Animals will be held at no additional cost to buyer in the event that shipping temps are not within an acceptable range.

 

 

When you have decided which animal you would like to purchase, please email us at info@stickyfeetreptiles.com with the ID number of the animal you’d like to purchase, and send a 25 percent deposit to our PayPal account at megan@stickyfeetreptiles.com.  Please include the ID number of the animal, and any other pertinent 
information in the PayPal email as well.

 

A non-refundable/non-transferable 25 percent deposit is required to place a hold on any animal.

 

Final payment (the remaining balance of the animal placed on hold) must must be made within 
two weeks of initial deposit.

If there is any reason you cannot complete payment within this time frame, please contact us, 
and we will do our best to work with your individual situation. 

If final payment is not made within the designated time frame, and a payment plan has not been discussed and agreed upon by both parties as detailed below, all payments up to this point, and the animal, are considered forfeit. 

 

Payment plans will be considered on a case by case basis.  If you are interested in an extended payment plan, 
arrangements must be made and accepted by Sticky Feet Reptiles before an animal is placed on hold.

 

STAY IN CONTACT!

If we are unable to contact you, and have not heard from you for a 30 day period without prior notification of extended absence, (even if final payment has been received), the animal will be considered abandoned, and may be placed back up for sale or kept at our discretion. All payments on said animal will be considered forfeit. 


Shipping:

 

Shipping is done via Ship Your Reptiles (FedEx overnight), Reptiles Express, OR Reptiles2You. You can find out more at www.shipyourreptiles.com,  www.reptilesexpress.com and http://www.reptiles2you.com/

Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.  We will provide you with a shipping quote if you provide your zip code.

We are not responsible for any delays or issues with the carrier, and can only ship to the contiguous 48.

 

Shipping will only be done Monday-Wednesday, with arrival Tuesday-Thursday, to reduce the chance of your package
getting stuck at a shipping hub over the weekend. Package will be shipped to the address provided by PayPal, so to insure the safety and wellbeing of our animals please make sure this address is correct before you make payment on an animal.  We cannot ship to a P.O. Box, and all packages must be signed for by an adult upon first delivery attempt, or all guarantees are null and void.

 

We will work with your availability for shipping your new addition, however the health and safety of our animals comes first and foremost.  In the event of an unexpected change in shipping plans, we will notify the buyer in a timely manner, and make new arrangements.  Keep in mind, if you are unable to be at home during regular shipping hours, that someone should be at your place of residence to sign for and receive your package.  Another option is having your package held at your local FedEx hub upon arrival, or have the package delivered to your place of work to insure safe and live arrival.  All shipping details will be arranged and verified in writing between buyer and seller BEFORE any animal is shipped. Sticky Feet Reptiles reserves the right to delay shipping until the weather/temperature is ideal and within a safe range (between 40-80 degrees Fahrenheit.) 

 

  

Shipping Live Arrival

Live arrival is guaranteed if the following conditions are met:

Temperature (both overnight and daytime) MUST be within acceptable range (between 40-80 degrees Fahrenheit) during shipping.

Someone MUST be present at the designated address to sign at the FIRST delivery attempt.

All animals that leave our facility are 100 percent healthy at time of shipment/local pick up.

 

Shipping D.O.A’s:

In the VERY rare case you receive an animal that is dead on arrival, having perished during shipment, you MUST contact Sticky Feet Reptiles via phone or email within one hour of receiving the package.  Photographic proof will be required in all cases.  It is up to the discretion of Sticky Feet Reptiles in some cases to have the animal returned to us at your shipping expense, and once our investigation is complete, compensation will be issued in the form of store credit, or a comparable replacement animal. 
Cash refunds will not be given.

Trade Show Terms

All animals that are available for sale at the trade shows we attend are 100 percent healthy at the time of the show. When you purchase an animal from us at a trade show, you are acknowledging the fact that the animal is healthy, and has met our "Live Arrival" guarantee at the time of purchase.  You assume full responsibility for anything occurring to the animal after you have purchased it. Shipping D.O.A. terms do not apply to trade shows due to the wide variation in care practices of new owners, and there are no refunds or store credit vouchers issued if the animal dies in your care. 

Please remember, these animals are TEMPERATURE SENSITIVE and should never, in any circumstance be left in a vehicle unattended (even with the windows cracked), regardless of the temperature outside. Even on a mild 60 degree day, the temperature inside a vehicle in the sun can reach over 110 degrees, which can be deadly to these animals. 


 
Local Pickup:

In some situations, local pick up may be arranged.  If this is an option you would like to consider, please contact us after placing your order.
Once the gecko is in your hands, the "Live Arrival" 
guarantee has been met.

 

Other Terms:

Communication is via email, messages on our Facebook business page, and in some cases phone contact if necessary (and in person in the case of Trade Shows).

We reserve the right to refuse a sale for any reason.

You must be 18 years of age or older to conduct business with us. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian handle all aspects of the transaction, and this fact must be disclosed to us. If this fact is not disclosed to us prior to completion of the sale, all payments and the animals involved in the transaction are considered forfeit by the underage buyer, and the gecko/s will remain property of Sticky Feet Reptiles and no refunds will be given. 

If for any reason you find yourself unable to care for any animal you have purchased from us in the past, regardless of how long ago this may be, we ask that you contact us for assistance.  We will try to find a suitable home for your pet, or pay to have the animal shipped back to us.
